Cute cute nursery

Love this nursery from katestockman.blogspot.com
It seriously makes me want to paint over the buzz mural and do it like this one!

Today is good

I managed to get out of bed feeling rested (which is ALWAYS a bonus)
I put laundry in, I did a load of dishes and got all the crap off my counter so it looks presentable :)

Right now I'm eating Hagen Dazs ice cream *of course it's the chocolate peanut butter*
I'm listening to the sound of the dishwasher run.

Carter and I had a good fulfilling lunch including a plate of veggies- which he willingly ate some
(my boy is such a good eater!)

We had plans to go get trees for our yard since they're 60% off at shopko right now- totally excited because trees are flippin expensive!
But...
Then Carters aunties and Uncle came over and talked about seeing a movie for FHE. And they mention Cars 2 and got my little guy all excited....

Plus
on Mondays all day long at our local theatre, all movies are only $3.00.
And since I love that little guy more then trees and life itself, I decided we're going to attempt a movie tonight.
In a theatre

We'll just see how this goes. He wasn't too cooperative with our "Rio" experience, but maybe Cars will be way more exciting for him. After all, he is a Cars addict.

So I told him if he went down for a nap, then when he woke up, we would go see cars with the Mr.
And I promise, he will mention that the moment he wakes up.

Healthily full and taking a nap he is, while I sit here with my chocolate and peanut butter listening to the dishwasher.

it's a Good day.

Enjoying

the lazy days.... :)

I LOVE my patio swing in my yard.
I can easily watch Carter, be in the shade
and rest my poor toesies :)
*Today I don't even have a wrap on it!* Hurray!
Sad note: I can't wear flip flops. That's right where it sliced. Boo!
I will miss you flip flops, until a couple weeks~

Somehow I've got to figure out how to keep the little rugrat from playing golf in my garden.
We did get grass laid the other day, so in about 2 weeks we will have fresh grass to play on!

I love being outdoors
Something about being out with all my plants and my own little setting, watching the child play
makes my life feel so invigorated

On another note: It sucks finding the perfect paint color

Potty training..

That's not a diaper, it's a pull up!
Yes I have decided to make an attempt at training today!!

I mean honestly I should have started this procedure earlier when Carter was begging to use the potty.

Then lazy old me decided I'd continue being lazy. And after a couple weeks, he didn't care so much...
*smacking forehead!*

So today we are setting the timer every 30 min. to go on the potty.
Long day ahead.
(The pee thing is working out, but not so much the poop deal)

So yesterday we had the storm of a lifetime. Literally enough water poured that it's probably enough to use for several years..

We have a pond on the left side of our yard
*mind it's uphill from us... (that's our dam below it... hoping that future neighbors won't break it!)

We could have a pool party in it, that's how big it is.

And here is our pond on the right side.

And the neighbors house you're looking at are hoping we don't break that dam
or it goes to their yard.

That's what happens when you buy a house built on wetlands.....

That's how smart we are.

Long weekend...

I'm so tired.
The Mr. went for a night camping last night

I decided to let Carter sleep in my bed. Boy that was a super bad idea.
I don't know if it was just the rolling all over, or the noises he'd make, and then wake up from
(I think he was having a bad dream.)
I literally cannot function now. I need to get my thyroid checked out to see if I have hypo issues.

Yesterday evening was ok. I went to the chiropractor for the pain I've had on my right side
(I've been wearing one shoe off and one shoe on for 1 1/2 weeks now because of my split up foot)
so my hip feels like it's totally wacked out.
Then afterwords Carter and I went to look at couple plants for the yard. Dang they're expensive!
Next year I'm going to start things from seed in the early spring. That will save money...

We went to the playground after that and Carter had a blast. I decided though after noticing how emotionally and stinky girls can act, I really love having boys. I don't have to deal with the drama. (plus I think I get too involved emotionally myself) ....
It ended with us getting some things at Macey's for Fathers day and getting ice cream cones with dipped chocolate.
I have this weird thing for dipped chocolate. My parents always got it when we went out for ice cream but wouldn't let us have them because they were "too expensive".
So now everytime we go out for ice-cream, Carter gets a dipped cone. I know I know... I need to get over my childhood disappointments.

I missed the Mr. last night. I sat in the backyard, and it was beautiful. And lonely... without him. I don't like being alone. I'm glad there's another little mr. here with me. That will be weird when he's all grown up and I don't have any little mr. with me anymore- so sad to think.
I feel sad for people who don't want children. They really don't know what they're missing out on. :)

So to end on a lovely note....or not so lovely. As I was tiredly walking through the house this afternoon, I smacked my covered foot right into our folded up camping chair.
And it split the big wound right open.

Gee wiz. What a crapilisiously fun day this is going to be. I was proud of my self for being able to wear a shoe for the first time, two days in a row (even though it hurt). Now we're going back a few steps..... grr.....
