Rainy days and Sundays

Today I figured was a good time to keep up on my life. I kind of consider this one of my journals.
Ok, not just "kind of".

Lately we've wasted the days away inside doing nothings here and there. It's been raining or just wet and damp for the last I don't know feels like 2 weeks now with a spot of sunny-ness here and there.

I have took up the craft of crocheting. And I'll tell ya, once you start and finally understand how it works, you're "hooked"
So there are a lot of baby girls to be arriving in the world that I know and I am in need of some gifts. And since we have spent like all our life savings on this.......

One giant kitty litter box. Filled with hours of fun when we get the sand.

* Oh and see that beautiful yard with green grass and plants... no that's not mine.

Well there kind of isn't any money left now because of this huge litter box! eek! So hopefully all my beloveds will be satisfied with some of these types of goodies for gifts....
The Mr. said we pay bills and tithing and then we are out, with no extras to save, and wondered where I could start pinching. Well I said the only thing I go out of the house to buy now is food..... so that would be,..... uhh food!
(Seriously still in need of a pair of brown shoes to wear for the summer I could just slip on, because
gosh my flip flops are making my heels cracked and dried up and it's just kind of awful and very gross.)

But well I
am all ok to sacrifice shoes when it comes to my little guy and making the world a better place for him :) Seriously I spoil the crap out of him. It's for his own good you know. ;)

Ok, I did happen to buy some flowers too.... so maybe I do get some things besides food once in a while. We're not poor, we are tight. We are blessed beyond macaroni and cheese and ramen noodles. :) And I love my life.

And who could not love life when you have an adorable little boy like this who just makes every day a new adventure. Who teaches you patience, who teaches you new sentences you've never before heard in your life, who loves you because you're HIS mommy. *Gosh I just love when he says "mommy" and it's referring to me! Who makes you pay attention to details in life (literally, he grabbed my face in his hands yesterday and pulled it close to his and said "Pay attention!")
Ya.... life doesn't get any better then this. I love being a mom!
I am really starting to get excited now about baby #2. I don't really get attached to my fetuses until I hear a heartbeat and know something really is alive in there. We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time on Thursday and it just made it all real. The lady said the heartbeat sounded about the speed of someone who is about 15 weeks, so I might be right in my prediction as to how far along I am. We are getting an ultrasound on Monday to find out. She and some others have mentioned they might slightly possibly be able to tell the gender- can happen- but I'm not going to count on that happening, we'll just see if it does.
So I've got 2 names so far, depending if it's a boy or girl.

Boy: Kendrick is kind of a name I'm liking a lot :)
Very well could change at any moment, don't write this down in your planner.

Girl: Lydia -not a name I picked but
most likely 99% chance she will be named that

  1. I love the name Kendrick! One of my young women leaders named her son (he is 7 now) that and I have liked it ever since! To bad, I haven't ever convinced my husband to share the same love I have for that name. ha ha Kendrick and Carter...awe- cute! That is one awesome sandbox! Carter is a lucky boy!!

  2. I don't know anyone with the name Kendrick but I've heard it and I love it! I know a couple little babies named Lydia though. And if you are indeed 15 weeks, they probably can tell the gender. I found out Syd was a girl at 14 weeks, and the doc was very certain.
